Drawing inspiration from mid-century design heritage and crafted in Britain, this exclusive collection for John Lewis reflects timeless design with traditional craftsmanship.
I’ve selected some of my favourite pieces from the ercol for John Lewis collection, and during my online explorations, I’ve also discovered some other products that you might appreciate.

Inspired by the iconic ercol STUDIO COUCH, the Hexton sofa has been brought up to date by incorporating fully upholstered cushioning to create a comfortable modern sofa.
The statement curved wood frame ends perfectly retains the original design essence.
However, if parting with £2,599 isn’t an option, though it’s a steal compared to the original £4,500 price tag, you might be drawn to the Lier Sofa from Cox & Cox.
At just £1,250, this Scandinavian design boasts a spindle-backed frame in natural wood, echoing the iconic ercol STUDIO COUCH.
2: Hexton Armchair
To complement the Hexton sofa, this super cosy armchair is also part of the ercol for John Lewis collection.
3: Eterna Chair
Drawing inspiration from the iconic ercol EVERGREEN chair, this contemporary centrepiece boasts the signature steam-bent back bow. The graceful arch forms a classic high back, resonating with centuries of craftsmanship tradition.
It’s a standout piece in the exclusive ercol for John Lewis collection marrying the classic, timeless design with a modern twist.
4: Hazelmere Chair
The Hazlemere chair is a testament to ercol’s signature craftsmanship, featuring a steam-bent back rail that seamlessly flows into the armrests, complemented by the iconic criss-cross spindle back.

However, priced at just under £1,000, you may be interested in a more affordable option which I’ve found at Baker and Stonehouse.
5: Runa Accent Chair
Currently reduced in their Baker and Stonehouse summer sale, the Runa Chair captures the essence of ercol’s timeless design at a fraction of the cost. Currently on offer for under £300 (reduced from £355), it presents an affordable yet stylish option for those who appreciate the ercol aesthetic.
While it forgoes the iconic criss-cross spindle back, this chair more than compensates with its own elegant charm.
Offering more than a third off the ercol price, this is a great alternative, that promises to elevate the decor of any living space.
6: Como Chair
This modern dining chair from the Monza dining collection features a bowed back for excellent comfort and support. Its design reflects the timeless elegance or ercol, making it a perfect addition to any contemporary home.

The La Redoute bar bench is a great alternative with it’s current sale price of less than £188. It’s design, inspired by the LOVESEAT, offers a stylish and budget-friendly option for those who admire the ercol aesthetic, but are looking for something more affordable.
