At the start of every month I share one of my shopping guides, which are often centred around a particular product or theme.
This month I was very early sharing my Christmas gift guide, as I not only included thoughtful gifts for the interior lover, I also included items to create the perfect table setting to wow your guests this Christmas and suggestion on creating your own winter wonderland at home.
There have been many fabulous Christmas gift guides shared here on Substack this year, ranging from Gifts for Impossible People by the truly fabulous
to a beautiful selection of cosy gift ideas from .With my next shopping guide originally planned for next week (and let’s face it, everyone is planning for Christmas throughout the month of December, and sharing my coolest selection of statement chairs, isn’t really going to be up there in terms of peoples priorities), I thought I’d share a bonus Christmas gift guide focused on products and creators based right here in the heart of my home county, Suffolk.
1: The Ultimate Gin Lovers' Christmas Gift
Fishers Gin is a family-run gin distillery located right next to the sea in Aldeburgh, one of my favourite coastal towns to visit. It takes me back to my childhood of annual summer holidays in a caravan.
The Ultimate Gin Lovers' Christmas Gift consists of your choice of either a large bottle of Fishers Original, Fishers Fifty or Fishers Smoked along with a Seasonal Tour and Tasting Experience for two guests.
You can also benefit from FREE shipping on your first order when joining the Fishers Net.
If you’re not local to Suffolk, why not consider making a weekend of it? Book one of the many Airbnbs in the area, or stay at The Brudenell Hotel which is literally next door!
2: The Suffolk Indulgence Hamper
A fabulous selection of delectable delights for any food lover from The Suffolk Hamper Company. This collection contains some of the finest Suffolk-made and sourced products, ensuring you are covered throughout Christmas and into the New Year.
3: Gardeners Hand Scrub
Handmade in Suffolk, the Gardeners Hand Scrub by Soaps n Scrubs is the perfect gift for any green-fingered fans.
Made with pumice and raspberry seeds to help clean, exfoliate and moisturise your hands, it uses the essential oils of lavender and sweet orange.
4: Gardening Gift Set Basket
Continuing with the gardening theme, delight your gardening enthusiast friend with this thoughtfully curated gardening gift set from Hills & Hedgerows. This gift basket includes a selection of tools, such as a trowel, fork, twine, seed sowing measurer, and wooden labels. It also features a selection of cut flower seeds and a Wild Orchards natural soy wax candle, perfect for unwinding after a day in the garden.
5: Authentic Philosophy Scented Candle
From Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, Illumens are known for their long lasting fragrances. The Authentic Philosophy range is based on a desire to have a collection that is simple and beautiful, using the highest quality natural ingredients.
These candles are available directly from their website, or if you happen to be visiting Snape Maltings, they are local stockists of the collection.
6: The Snape Maltings Collection Tea Towel
Designed by Louise Richardson, a local artist just across the border in Norfolk, this collection of illustrative homewares has been designed exclusively for Snape Maltings. Inspired by the location, landscape and architecture around the Maltings.
Each luxury cotton tea towel is made and printed in Suffolk.
7: Chocolate Gift Box
Pump Street Bakery and Chocolate Shop is a hidden gem situated in the small village of Orford, Suffolk.
Whilst chocolate was originally made in the pastry section of the bakery, back in 2017, due to demand, it was clear the space just wasn’t going to be large enough, so production was moved to a former RAF air base in neighbouring Rendlesham.
Pump Street is known for it’s award-winning chocolates, and as a perfect Christmas gift for any chocolate lover I’ve chosen the Bakery Series gift box.
Includes: Sourdough & Sea Salt, Rye Crumb, Milk and Sea Salt,Eccles.
8: Sophie Cook Ceramics
Sophie Cook is one of my favourite ceramists, based right here in Suffolk.
Her signature bottles, pods and teardrop vessels are designed to work as effectively as a stand-alone pieces, or clustered together.
My personal favourite is the Pod, although I’d highly recommend looking at the full collection, which is available in a huge selection of colours.
9: The Christmas Collection
Edmunds has to be my favourite ready-to-drink cocktail company. Not only for it’s Suffolk heritage; another company founded in Bury St Edmunds, but it’s the closest ready-to-drink cocktail I’ve found that has recreated a bar-quality experience without the fuss.
My particular favourite is the Mojito. It’s so refreshing, with the infused fresh mint giving a cool kick, while the lime juice adds a fresh zing. A definite summer favourite and available in a 1-litre bottle.
A perfect Christmas gift for any discerning drinker, I’d highly recommend The Christmas Collection, which brings together two festive limited edition flavours.
Alternatively you can mix and match your own selection.
As part of the Black Friday promotion you can benefit from 20% off everything plus free shipping (valid at time of publishing).
10: Discovery Vineyard Tour and Lunch
Flint Vineyard has become recognised as one of England’s most exciting producers, and we’re very lucky to live just up the road.
Located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border I think Flint Vineyard qualifies to be included in my Suffolk Christmas gift guide. The quality of their wines is exceptional, with the Pinot Noir being a particular favourite!
Enjoy what Flint Vineyard has to offer with a Discovery Tour of the vineyard, set against the picturesque Waveney Valley. The tour guides you through the wine making process and finishes with a three-course menu paired with their latest wine releases.
My posts will always remain free. If you’d like to share your appreciation you can for as little as £3.50 a month or subscribe to an annual membership for just £35 for the year.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this additional Christmas gift guide, focussing on businesses centred around my home county of Suffolk. I’ve certainly enjoyed collating this selection, deviating away from just sharing suggestions for the interior lover.
I hope I may have tempted you to explore further the delights that Suffolk has to offer, and perhaps there is a gift I’ve shared that is perfect for a loved one (or maybe something you’re going to add to your own Christmas wish list).
Please do let me know in the comments.

What a marvellous feature Sonya, how lovely that Suffolk has all these wonderful independents, I’m going to look at them all more closely when I’ve got more time 👍🏻
Just ordered two bottles from Flint.
