Adding those all important finishing touches to our spa-inspired bathroom
Sharing links to all the finishing touches in this months shopping guide.
For this months shopping guide, I’m sharing the links to the finishing touches we added to our spa-inspired bathroom.
Whether you’re refreshing your current bathroom or planning a renovation, these suggestions will help you add those all-important finishing touches that truly make a difference.

1: Bathroom Suite
I’ve decided not share all the specifics of the actual bathroom suite, as I want to focus on the finishing touches we’ve added. However, if you are interested the suite was purchased from Lusso Stone.
2: Olivia Black Framed Backlit Illuminated LED Mirror
We wanted a modern and minimalist mirror for our bathroom, and the Olivia Bathroom Mirror was the perfect choice.
Designed to hang both vertically and horizontally, we opted for a horizontal placement, making it the focal point on the wall.
The back-lit LED illumination enhanced the relaxed spa-like vibe and is also perfect for getting ready for a night out.
3: Luxe Matte Black Towel Rail
The Luxe Towel Rail in Matte Black is available as a single piece or as a set of three, which worked perfectly for our needs.
We’ve placed bath towels on one rail between freestanding bath and walk-in shower enclosure, another at the back of the bath, and a third beneath the bathroom mirror next to the vanity unit for hand towels.
4: Baretta Stitch Towel
When M&S announced their collaboration with Kelly Hoppen last November, I couldn’t resist purchasing the Barista Stitch Towels; even before our extension had a roof!
These super-soft towels are fabulous to wrap yourself in after a bath or shower. I especially love the white stitch detail, which adds an elegant touch to the classic black design.
We also added the Border Terry Bath Mat from the collection, though it is unfortunately no longer available.
5: Twin Electric Toothbrush Charger
It might not be the most exciting addition, but it’s definitely a game-changer!
The electric toothbrush charger wired directly into the wall, keeps our toothbrushes constantly charged without any unsightly trialling wires.
We purchased ours from our local CEF store, though there are plenty of options available online. To complement with our bathroom’s colour scheme, we chose a black faceplate, which blends seamlessly with the design.
6: Nova One Toothbrush Holder
A slightly indulgent purchase, however, when searching for a toothbrush (or in our case toothpaste) holder, everything I saw was either plastic, cheap-looking, or both.
Having already owned the Nova Toilet Brush Holder and knowing its exceptional quality, adding the matching Toothbrush Holder made absolute sense.
Made from ceramic with a matte-rubber finish applied to the exterior, it’s both stylish and functional.
7: Reed Diffuser
I absolutely love the M&S reed diffusers; not only are their scents really beautiful, the frosted amber glass container adds the perfect spa-like touch to any space.
8: Luxe Matte Black Toilet Roll Holder
To complement the towel rails, we also purchased the Luxe Loo Roll Holder, also from Lusso Stone.
This addition ties in beautifully with the overall design and maintains a cohesive look in the bathroom.
9: ENDURANCE by Marta Hutt
I’ve a number of prints from Martha Hutt, so when we were looking for a standout piece for the bathroom, she was the first artist who came to mind; and she didn’t disappoint.
ENDURANCE was exactly what I envisioned, a piece with personality, a touch of edge, and the ability to make a bold statement.
The wall where it’s displayed is quite large but very thin, limiting what could be added; yet it really needed something special.
We decided to go big and purchased the A1-sized print (594mm x 841mm), and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
I had the print professionally framed by our local frame shop in Beccles, and it truly completes the look.
10: Zehnder Ribbon Towel Radiator
I first fell in love with the Zhender Ribbon Radiator over five years ago, during the renovation of our downstairs cloakroom.
I knew then this would be the radiator of choice when the time came to create our dream bathroom.
And now, here we are; with the radiator proudly taking centre stage, just as I had always envisioned.
11: Rattan Tapered Laundry Basket
Who knew finding the perfect laundry basket could be so challenging?
I spent weeks scouring the internet, searching for the right one, until I stumbled upon this beauty from URU Home.
It was definitely a bit of an indulgent purchase, but when you know exactly what you’re looking for and finally find it, the price suddenly feels less important - that was certainly the case here!

12: Stainless Steel Recess Shower Niche
We incorporated two niches into the bathroom design, choosing from the various sizes available. A rectangular niche is positioned at the end of the freestanding bath, while a square niche is placed within the shower enclosure.
These niches are not only practical for easy access whilst in the shower but also help keep everything neat and tidy.
13: Body Wash, Shampoo & Conditioner Amber Bottle Dispenser Set
I initially wanted to purchase the glass version of these bottle dispensers, however I had to think practically.
I could just imagine one of these slipping out of my hand, shattering into a thousand pieces, and potentially cracking the shower tray in the process. With that in mind, I reluctantly opted for the more practical plastic versions.
14: Solid Oak Bath Tray
What better way to relax and unwind in the bath than with this bath tidy?
It’s perfect for propping up a book, iPad. or mobile, featuring a very handy wine holder and a spot for your favourite scented candle.
15: Feature Wall Tiles
Even before the extension began, I had a clear vision for the feature wall behind the freestanding bath and knew exactly what I was looking for.
I wanted a design similar to the wooden panelling we have in the living room. While there are many companies offering wooden-effect panelling suitable for bathrooms, most of them had a plasticky finish, as they tend to be for outside use, that didn’t achieve the premium look I wanted.
Eventually, I found the perfect solution at at our local tile supplier, Clay Interiors.
These tiles not only form the feature wall behind the bath but also serve as a splash-back behind the vanity unit, perfectly complementing the fluted detail on the front drawer. The result is both practical and stunning, tying the space together seamlessly
16: Wall Tiles
Also from Clay Interiors are our wall tiles, crafted from natural off-white porcelain with subtle brown flecks that perfectly complement the feature wall tiles.
Measuring 600mm x 1200mm, their generous dimensions make a striking impact, adding a sense of grandeur to the space.
17: Moduleo Flooring
We selected Moduleo luxury vinyl flooring (LVT) for the bathroom, a choice that proved both quick and easy to install, while being wonderfully low maintenance.
Although I initially considered tiled flooring, LVT offers so many benefits. iIt’s incredibly durable, with no concerns about cracking, unlike tiles. Additionally, if any issues arise with pipework, LVT is much easier to lift compared to ceramic tiles, making it the practical option.
19: Slacked Lime Paint by Little Greene
The perfect finishing touch to the untiled walls was painting them in my favourite Little Greene paint colour; Slacked Lime. Its subtle charm brings a cohesive and elegant feel to the space
